Two wordings are on this page, one from al-Bukhari and one from Muslim, each in Arabic with Roman, Urdu and English. The Arabic of each was compared across independent editions, letter by letter and vowel by vowel.

When the Prophet ﷺ said it

The narrations of Ibn ‘Abbas give different occasions: some in the night prayer, and one as he went out to the prayer after the call. Scholars have discussed which is meant and what it covers, so the dua can be read in the night prayer or on the way to the mosque, as the narrations mention.

No fixed number of times is reported for it.
