Morning and Evening Adhkar
صبح اور شام کے اذکار
Morning and evening adhkar in Arabic with Roman, Urdu and English translation, each with its hadith source and grading, for use after Fajr and in the evening.
By the Darood E Taj project · Arabic checked against several digital editions · Last updated
Adhkar are the words of remembrance the Prophet ﷺ said at the start and the end of the day. This page gives some of the sound ones in Arabic with Roman, Urdu and English, each with the book it is in and its grading.
The Arabic of each dua was compared across independent digital editions, letter by letter and vowel by vowel. Where scholars graded a hadith differently, the page says so.
The surahs of the morning and evening
The Prophet ﷺ said to recite Surah al-Ikhlas and the two Mu‘awwidhatayn, al-Falaq and an-Nas, three times each morning and evening, and that they would suffice for everything (Sunan Abi Dawud 5082, graded hasan by al-Albani). See the page on the 4 Qul.
Ayat al-Kursi is also read after the obligatory prayers and before sleep. See the page on Ayatul Kursi.
